pricing
Every project is priced individually, based on complexity, style, medium, and intended use. For that reason, it can be difficult to give a ballpark price.
To help with this, I have created style sheets explaining your options and how different factors can impact pricing. Use the button below to view & download the style sheets, or contact me directly to talk through your options – no strings attached.
about me
Most illustrators can draw a heart. Fewer can build one that a surgeon can rotate in a VR headset, or a sculptor can cast in silicone. I do both — and the illustration for the slide deck, too.
Credentials // I am a physiotherapist-turned-medical artist with 10+ years experience in medicine and science and a Master’s degree in Medical Art (Distinction) from the University of Dundee. Working part-time as a senior medical artist at Limbs&Things Ltd., I have initiated and lead the development of the multi-award-winning L&T Augmented Reality app (IMI Platinum Award, IMI Gold Award, Manufacturer’s Magazine Award). I have also lead projects and (co-)created highly-acclaimed products that are currently being manufactured and sold on the market. As a freelancer, I have worked a wide range of project with clients such as the NHS, NeuroAscent, Kneesy, the University of Amsterdam, and many more.
Specialities // I specialise in 2D digital illustration and 3D modelling & animation for 3D Interactive and VR/AR use, as well as sculpting for manufacture. I’m especially at home within the topics of gross anatomy, the human body, biomechanics, and feminine health/OBGYN, and take a strong research-based approach to any topic I am less familiar with.
Approach // My approach to any project is based on strong research skills, clear communication, and upfront scoping to fully understand the project aim, audience, and limitations. My goal is to make science beautiful and understandable, no matter the audience. This means that I illustrate for uncle Dave in the pub, animate for Anna’s 3am anatomy study session, and communicate science to every kind of person, from kids to fellow researchers.
