Anatomical line drawing: structures of the medial foot

Description

This line drawing was part of MSc Medical Art. From my background as a physiotherapist, I took interest in the medial foot and tarsal tunnel syndrome. While researching this phenomenon, several articles were found detailing the variations of structures in the tarsal tunnel which led to the additional illustration below.

Process

Sketches and drawings made in the dissection room were used as references for both pieces, as well as anatomical atlases and research articles. The final line drawings were made in Adobe Photoshop, labelling and graphic design were done in Illustrator.
